It's that time of year again. March Madness. The Big Dance. The NCAA tournament. OK, you know what I'm talking about. I'm in four bracket challenges this year. My usual three (one with my kids, and my brother and his kids; an ESPN pool hosted by my nephew's neighbors; and another Yahoo pool with coworkers) . I also entered the CBS bracket challenge. I play mostly for fun, but I have invested $15 with a chance to win $5,010,250, although I don't have a perfect bracket anymore and the $5 million has flown out the window. I've got UCLA winning it all. Now that's a bold prediction. The people who know those kind of things say that U.S. employers take a $1.5 billion hit every March (supposedly because we're all at bars or are watching every minute of every game (thanks CBS) on our computers. I watched about 10 minutes of my alma mater's game this afternoon and checked the scores now and then, but I didn't goof off any more than usual. I think the $1.5 billion figure is way off. We may be paying attention to the games but we're still getting our work done.

My bracket is completely screwed up already, and the first day isn't even over yet.
I took off the afternoon so I could watch the games and the Green :)
